RACING
The first Team Z meeting of 2009 was held on Tuesday, January 20th at 6:00 PM. We currently have 24 members, which is a 50% increase from last year. Officers were elected and they are:

We need a minimum of 6 racers to qualify for a team. Some of our local high school ski team members are also interested in attending these races. Please contact Coach Wilson as soon as possible if you would like to attend any or all races. Team Z will pay the registration fee for all racers who choose to attend any of these out of town races (this includes the price of your lift ticket).
Our main expense right now will be the new racing bibs, which is about $850. Our King of the Mountain Event which is our major fund raiser, will be held at Mt. Zion on Saturday, February 28th. More details to follow. If you are interested in collecting donations for this event, please see Jill Wilson.
Please note that there is Team Z practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 PM. Friday practice is optional, and Ryan Grenberg will be there to assist Coach Wilson in focusing on a slalom course. Please try to participate in Mt. Zion's races held every Saturday at 10:00 AM. Beginning this week (Jan. 24), racers will be running slalom and giant slalom courses.
