Team
practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6PM starting January 13th. You are not required to attend both practices. Mt. Zion offers a special lift ticket price of $4.00 for Teampractice. All racers must wear a helmet.
The cost of TeamRacing is $50 for beginners, $60 for intermediate, and $75 for advanced now $50 for all levels.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM (Beginner) – The focus of the "Development" Team will be on beginning racing techniques and training. Skiing fundamentals and developing a strong skiing foundation will be emphasized. All beginning racers MUST be able to ski and ride the lifts by themselves. They need to be able to perform simple turning and stopping techniques. This is a RACING program NOT skiing lessons.
INTERMEDIATE – This program is for the advanced skiers who are looking to get a competitive edge with training. This program is formed to challenge each racer to become better fundamentally and to gain a better understanding of race tactics and techniques.
ADVANCED – This program is designed for the USSA racer. The goal for this program will be for each athlete to increase his/her skiing fundamentals, along with increased understanding of race tactics and techniques.
