Team
Racing is a developmental ski racing team for ALL area children. The team is coached by Scott Wilson and trains at Mount Zion on the G.C.C. campus in Ironwood Michigan. Team will travel to several meets throughout the season.
On Saturday Feb. 28 2009 Team will be holding its King of the Mountain race at Mount Zion. The race format is two runs of Slalom two Giant Slalom and one Super G. Registration begins at 8:00 am, inspection at 8:30 and racing at 9:00. Registration is $20 which includes a lift ticket. Medals will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age group and participant ribbons for all. Ages are three through adult. Please email Darlene Begalle to pre-register.
On 02/07/09, sixteen Team racers traveled to Pine Mountain. The racers took home twenty nine top-ten finishes and a combined seven medals for top-three finishes.
Racers attended from Norway, Marquette and the Copper Country to compete in several junior divisions. Local racer results are listed below:
